I’ll be the first to admit that I am completely addicted to social networking sites.   Luckily, I’ve chosen a profession that requires me to network constantly so one of favorite parts of the job is researching new networking sites and associations.  In the midst of my research, I stumbled across Ashley Madison, a dating and networking site geared toward – well, umh, gulp – married men and women “looking for something more.”  In a nutshell, it’s a networking site for cheaters!!!

I don’t want to sound totally naïve, but I’m just completely shocked that a site like this exists – and it’s actually popular! Maybe the concept behind Ashley Madison isn’t completely terrible since at least the cheaters are targeting other cheaters.   Hopefully, those singles that are actually looking for real relationships will be spared from accidentally dating the married man who swears he’s going to leave his wife, but never does (and was never planning on it) OR the married woman who lies and says she’s single, but she keeps getting calls from her kids.  Maybe these people will be safely confined to their own community over in Cheaterville which could make dating much more pleasant for singles that are looking to date other real singles.  

Geez, what will they think of next - a networking site geared toward serial killers looking to exchange mutilation tips?  I don’t want to get too Twin Peaks, but the realm of possibilities are pretty crazy!

I originally started this blog as an experiment.  I wanted to learn more about blogging and see if a recruiting blog could be a successful recruiting tool.  This blog has definitely been very useful in helping me to find and recruit qualified candidates.  It has been so useful that my company actually created its very own recruiting blog, Stand Out; I’m the second one down in the “Meet the Bloggers” section. 

Since FH now has a blog dedicated to recruiting, I’ve decided to change the focus of this blog a little bit.  I’m definitely still going to talk about recruiting, sourcing, and interviewing, but I think I want it to be a little more informal.  I’m going to avoid putting in boring job descriptions –yawn!- and I think I’ll focus more on things that I like to talk about – personal and professional.  Above all, it’s still a PR recruiting blog, but it’s also my personal blog so I’m going to include more of my own flair and jazz things up a bit.

By now, it’s pretty obvious that Billary isn’t going to be bringing the fun back to the Oval Office.  If it’s any consolation, at least we have the opportunity to elect someone who can make real change and lead this great country by using his wisdom, intelligence, and…wait a minute…did he say 57 states?? 

I know, I know…I haven’t written in a long time!!  I got back from my fabulous Cancun vaca with the fam a few weeks ago and I’ve just been playing catch up ever since.  A lot has happened since I wrote last so I’ll be sure to fill you in on the latest and greatest, but first I just couldn’t help posting this video.  I’m not overly political, but you have to give Hill some major bonus points for these slick dance moves.  Can’t you just picture how much fun the WH functions are going to be with Billary back in action??  Enjoy!
